Psychopompos follows Michael, a burned-out young office worker who is abruptly promoted to a strange and unsettling new role: guiding the recently deceased onward after death. Under the supervision of indifferent bureaucrats and strict rules that forbid giving extra time or clear answers, Michael must help people confront the fact that their lives are over. As he encounters souls struggling with regret, fear, and unfinished lives, Michael begins to question both the system he works for and his own ability to carry out the job. A darkly humorous and poignant reflection on acceptance, loss, and what it means to let go.
